One night camping in Oumazza, Morocco

In 2022 during the Pandemic of Covid-19, I was working night-shift, and at that time I accumulated a lot of stress, the stress of work and the Covid situation, so I was looking for an escape to the outdoors, I checked my planning for the upcoming week, and there were 2 days off. and since I live in Casablanca, I started thinking what is the closest destination I could head to and enjoy for a very limited time which is my 2 days off, I opened Google Maps and did some research and I found this place called Oumazza.

Itinerary and Transportation:

I took the train from Casablanca to Rabat, then I took a Taxi to a place named Aïn El Aouda, and Finally a tri-motor cycle to get to Oumazza

Camping :

once arrived, I admired the view from the top, after a few moments I started descending toward Lake Oumazza, there are two sides of the lake, and the best one that I recommend for everyone looking for some tranquility needs to get to it by boat, there is a man who has a traditional boat who can help you cross the lake to the other side for 50 dh (outbound and return), once you reach the land, you are free to set up your tent wherever you like.

Here are some photos I took in Oumazza

Enjoying my time in the hammock

The landscapes in real life are better than photos actually, I witnessed one of the best sunsets in my entire life, especially with the reflections of the redness of the sun on the water.

I spent one beautiful night enjoying the croaks of the frogs and the stars in the sky which helped me to clear my mind and my thinking.

Happy and safe travels
