What an excitement! While packing my gear, and preparing myself for a good trip, last month, I had a 13-day PTO ( paid time off), so I decided to go camping as I am used to doing whenever I get the chance, I am a fan of lakes, some people love beaches, mountains, deserts…..etc, for me my preferred ones are lakes. For this time destination, I headed to Lake Ouiouane ( in the Middle Atlas, Morocco), a beautiful calm spot. The lake is surrounded by a forest filled with two tree species, Cedrus, and Quercus ilex.
For Animals, the lake has some fish species like big pike, yellow perch, roach, and carp. You can also find ducks on the lake ( it was really fun feeding them bread). In the forest, you will surely see a lot of monkeys, and when it is the hunting season, people come here to hunt wild pigs.
When I arrived, I set up my tent, prepared my sleeping space, and went to get some deadwood to make a good fire at night. This is what I like the most about camping; the nighttime is the best. This time, I met some dogs. One of them is a female with cute puppies. I had good company these three nights.
My three camping days at Lake Ouioane were amazing, I can not wait for the next trip.
Happy and safe camping.
