El Oualidia is a small fishing village, 90 Km from El Jadida on the Atlantic coast of Morocco, well known for its stunning beach and good quality oysters. It is usually crowded with local and foreign tourists during summer, from June to August, so if you would like to enjoy it more in tranquility, it is recommended to visit it in September/October when the weather is still good in Morocco and you will be able to enjoy swimming.
How to get to El Oualidia
The most common starting point is El Jadida city, so If you have a car, you can simply take the highway from El Jadida to EL Oualidia, and for public transportation, you can take the bus (30 DH) or a taxi (50 dh).

There are plenty of options when it comes to accommodation, it depends on your preference and budget, you can rent an apartment, villa, or private rooms in guesthouses.

There is a camping ground in El Oualidia called Camping Laguna Park. You can either bring your tent or camper….etc. The campground also has private rooms, a duplex for rent, and a swimming pool.

The most common food to have in El Oualidia is fish, There are different kinds of fish, you can eat in restaurants or buy fresh fish directly from fishermen and take it to a roast shop in exchange for a cooking service fee, but if you are not into fish, don’t worry there are other options, or you can buy what you need and cook it yourself if you have access to the kitchen in the guesthouse you are staying in.

El Oualidia is a small tranquil village, so if you are a person who is more into calm warm vibes, this place is for you, you can take a nice promenade with a sea view, go to the souk (local market) enjoy oysters and seafood), enjoy tanning and swimming, and go for round trip boat tour (100 DH).
