Imlil is a group of small close villages nestled in the high Atlas Mountains, where the scent of apple trees dominates in Novembere-Decembre and, where you can taste good quality walnuts, drink refreshing water that marks the region, enjoy the burbling of the river and the waterfall and experience the remarkable hospitality of the people.

Transportation:
Most people heading to Imlil start from Marrakech, which is the departure point, you can take a taxi from ‘Sidi Mimoun’ ( a transportation station where you can find taxis and buses to all regions surrounding Marrakech ), a Taxi from Marrakech to Imlil costs 35 DH ( 3,5$ ), the distance is 65 Km and it takes 1 hour and a half to get to Imlil. The route itself is a delight, you will enjoy the landscapes of the mountains, river, trees, and traditional Moroccan berbere villages. Once you get there you will be 1740 meters above sea level.
Accommodation:
There are plenty of options and choices, you can book via booking.com, Airbnb, or instantly when you arrive, you can choose from different ranges of options: guest houses, tree houses, apartments…. It depends on your budget.
Where and What to eat/drink:
Since you came to Imlil, I recommend you try Tagine, which is a traditional Moroccan meal, there are options of course, there is beef Tagine, lamb tagine, and Vegetable tagine, it is up to you and Bon Appétit.
For drinks, the best drink you can have is Moroccan tea with herbs, tasty and healthy.
Besides, there are local shops where you can buy local bread, olive oil, argan oil, honey…..etc.
Activities:
Imlil is well known for hiking and trekking, it is the departure point for people who want to climb the Toubkal Mountain ( the highest peak in North Africa, 4167 m )
The cost of the Toubkal trek:
Guide cost: 1000 DH ( 100$ ), if you are a group it would be cheaper, because then you will share the expenses, for example, a group of 5 people makes it 200 DH ( 20$ ) per person.
Guest house cost: If you do the Toubkal trek, expect that you will spend one night at a guest house, there are two, I will leave the links to their websites so you can have an idea of the pricing, or you can set your tent if you are more into camping.

Bicycle tour:
If you are a bicycle lover, you can rent one, there in Imlil and enjoy the road between mountains, you can explore nearby villages and go to Tacheddirt which is the highest village in North Africa and is about 14 Km away from Imlil, once you get there take a break, have some tea and enjoy the marvelous landscapes of the mountains and valleys.
Bicycle rent cost: A normal bike is 300 DH ( 30$ )
E-bike is 450 DH ( 45$ )
Promenade to the waterfalls:
when you visit Imlil, you must go to the waterfall, it is an easy trail, but If you feel you can not, then there is a practical way of transportation in the area which is the mule, it costs 30 DH ( 3$) from Imlil center to the waterfall, there some local tea shops around the waterfall that offer tea and orange juice, order your drink and enjoy.
Buy a Souvenir:
When your vacation in Imlil comes to its end, you are probably going to buy a souvenir, for that, there are plenty of shops where you can find what you seek, handmade Berber jackets, coats, carpets, silver, oils, ……etc. all handmade traditional Berber products and at affordable prices.
